Internships & training

Internship and industrial training slot allocation

Partner organisations offer a fixed number of slots. Students want the same handful of them. Allotix runs the match on ranked preferences and real capacity, so the placement cell stops arbitrating and starts publishing.

Fixed partner slots, unbounded student demand.

The placement cell collects interest, discovers the same five companies are oversubscribed, and then rations by hand under time pressure.

  • Partner slot counts that are hard limits, not guidelines
  • Eligibility gates on CGPA, backlogs or specific coursework
  • Demand concentrated on a few well-known organisations
  • Allocation done under deadline, with no time to explain it

How it works

How Allotix runs internship slot allocation

1

Load partners and their slot counts

Each organisation becomes a course-equivalent with a hard seat count and its own eligibility requirements.

2

Students rank the slots they qualify for

Eligibility is applied before the list is shown, so students only rank internships they can actually take.

3

Allot on merit and notify everyone

Run the allocation, publish outcomes to students, and send each partner their allotted cohort automatically.

What you get

Built for this allocation, not adapted to it

  • Hard slot capacity per partner organisation
  • Eligibility gates on CGPA, backlogs and coursework
  • Ranked student preferences over eligible slots
  • Partner-wise allotted cohort lists, emailed automatically
  • Unallocated breakdown so nobody falls through the cracks

FAQ

Internship slot allocation — frequently asked questions

Can different internships have different eligibility rules?

Yes. Eligibility is set per slot, so one partner can require a minimum CGPA, another can require zero backlogs, and a third can require specific prior coursework. Each student only ever sees and ranks the slots they actually qualify for.
